I got my hair styled in this updo on Saturday by my lovely stylist Andreda Forte. I feel like Miss America. What makes it even more special for me is sporting the beautiful jewels that LaChanda got and brought to me in New York. But now I'm spoiled and I want more of them. Fortunately, a different stylist in the beauty salon recommended a local beautique for me to try.
I love updo styles and I feel I look better in short styles and updos anyway. I guess I always have. So more length equals more creativity. Creativity by somebody else that is.
I have made a promise to myself to do my own braidouts and some roller sets when the time is right. Might even experiment from time to time. But overall, I love the magic hands of somebody else giving me that million dollar hairstyle that I know I wouldn't be able to achieve on my own. Just like the Loreal folks say, "I'm worth it!"

ROTFL - Thank goodness I've made my point Brunsli. The only limit I see at this point is imagination and creativity. With your thick mane, the sky is the limit!! So please stop depriving me of living out my lock fantasies.

TRA - thanks girl. But there is no need for you to wait for a loc stylist. I don't go to a loc stylist. My stylist happens to be the same girl who hooked me in with my last of the creamy crack days and she is still sporting the creamy crack and weaves herself. But thank goodness, she is sooo supportive of my lock decision and actually looks forward to styling it for me.
The benefit of these small locs is it's like working with straight hair. So anybody who can hook a sista up with perm hair updos, can do the same for lock hair updos. But I do take my own shampoo for her to use.
So please don't be thinking you need a special lock stylist. You just need a supportive, creative and talented stylist.
oh yeah, if you don't already have a stylist in mind, a braid stylist is also an excellent choice.
