I wore the updo plaits for five days and received many compliments on it much to my delight. Turns out it was quite a hit and I had nothing to worry about in the first place. I'm even more pleased with my crinkly braidout result. Funny it kind of reminds me of my jeri curl do from back in the day. If it holds a little past the weekend then I will consider it a definite success. Since I did not use any setting lotion, I guess it will be interesting.

Wow! What an awesome do! I just love the crinkles girl!
Awwwww....that is so pretty!!!
Very Cute!
Tra - Oh thank you so much Tra. I know your hair would look fab. It does no matter how you wear it.
As for the weight - I've been maintaining the 14lbs I lost last summer by doing weight watchers. Thanks for noticing.
Meikmeik and nDrea have inspired me to do more raw, organic and total well being eating. I am so tired of the toxins weighting me down. I have a long way to go before I can consider myself a rawerian or vegan, but I'm doing it one day at a time. I even suggested to my mom that when she makes mac and cheese for the holiday to use wheat macaroni. She's open to the idea. Every little step counts.
Blackrussian, Aundrea, Cluizel, Sophia - Thank you all very much ladies!!!!!
Cluizel - What is the answer to that doggone riddle? I've been in suspense long enough.

I know I'm so late been out of town for a minute. Your hair looks great! This is a great length shot. Keep the new hair ideas coming!
Girl, you're wearing that braidout!!! Your hair has grown dramatically since I last saw you. I've been a little lazy with my hair the last few weeks. You've inspired me to try a braidout again. I love the idea of keeping it up for 4-5 days but, I don't have enough length to have a cute braided style. Maybe by next summer. By the way, I would like to plan the picnic that we talked about at our last party. Tell me what you think. I'm thinking 4th or 5th Sunday in September.
Loving the do! How many braids did you put in initially?
WOWOWOW! you look great!!!!
Sister-in-locks, Detra, Lashaune, Chosen Vessel - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I appreciate all of your compliments!
Sistalocd - You are not late at all honey. Thank you very much and I will certainly do my best.
Linda - So interesting as I've been meaning to send you an email because it is time for a gathering. That time frame sounds perfect. I will definitely email you.
Thank you very much for the lovely comments. But I'm skeptical you don't have enough length for the updo plaits.
Shan - Thanks! I would estimate I used about 20 single plaits which took me about 35 minutes to put in. A little more length and I can be a bit faster cause I won't
need as many braids.
Chele - Why thank you so much my dear.
Your hair looks so cute in these pictures! The braidout turned out really well.
This look is CUTE!!!!

Hello,
I am really inspired by your journey with SL. I am going to my first consultation on Nov 1st and I am so nervous. I keep wondering if I am doing the right thing and if I will look crazy after investing a great deal of money into the SL system. You have really help ease my nerves. Your hair looks fabulous.
Black Doll - why thank you so much! To hear how much my journey inspires someone else really makes my day. Everyone one of us start out with the same concerns and nervous jitters you raised.
To be honest, you probably will look and feel a bit crazy right after your install. A period of adjustment is inevitable. There are days when you are more happy than others, especially in the beginning. But any vet locker will tell you to hang in there. It is so worth it. I have not looked back since and I know the best is still yet to come.
If you decide Sisterlocks are right for you, I certainly wish you all the best on your journey!!!!
Thanks for stopping by :)
