Even though I don't feel the need to cover up my locks at night like I did in the early months, it's still nice to have something just in case. About a year ago I ordered the Dreadsock and as soon as I put it on Dr. Phil's, "What the hell were you thinking?" immediately came to mind. Naive little me didn't know that medium in the lock world takes on a whole different meaning. I figured I would keep it anyway and grow into it. God only knows how many years that will take.
Recently, I was happy to read Meikmeika's positive review of the Ayana Loc Pocket. Since I was in need of a new lock cover, I ordered one for myself. Good thing this time around I was warned that the small size would be just enough. I like it because it is a good fit, not too tight and I still have some growing room in it even though it's a small.

me and the locksock dont get along well. it squeezes the blood out of my brain. I had to cut into the elastic to loosen it up some. i might wear it as a shower cap if i want some protection with a little poof.
I got my Loc Pocket on now. I do have a good amount of growing room too. It stays on through out the night. Ayana is my consultant!
Cheleskilove - I hear ya and can relate.
Carmen - I tell ya, this internet thing makes the world so small. Be sure to tell Ayana she has another satisfied customer.
You are so cute!
I have a medium dreadsock too. Sometimes I tuck the empty end in.
I have the dreadsock and it use to squeeze my brain as well but it loosened up a lot and is comfy. The only thing is that my locks feel a bit rougher when I take it off in the morning vs. my regular old satin cap. Not sure what that is about!

I've have taken to falling asleep with my hair uncovered - naughty I know! When I do cover it I use a great big wrap; it's a bit like a white lycra bed sheet. I always put it on and hope for the best!
I have looked into ordering some of the pockets and socks discussed on blogs and LIU; some don't post to the UK and others charge an awful lot (IMO) for P&P.
Anyway, you look fly in yours!
Too funny!
Congrats on your purchase...

Brunsli - thanks. I've tucked mine in too, but it's a lot of fabric.
Tra - that is quite a mystery. You don't suspect say more mature locks?
Mel - don't beat yourself up hon. I've learned it's strictly a matter of choice vs necessity. My mom started with perm ends too and has never ever covered her locks while sleeping to this day.
Jen - thank you dear.
I just think the Lock Pocket is so cute and I'm going to purchase another one since they're so comfortable.
I'm happy I read others reviews regarding the dreadsock and even though the owner of the company is fly I'll pass for now.
I need a suggestion on who's sock I should buy and what size cause my satin bonnet is on it's last leg of holding all my hair in. Holla back when you can if you have a suggestion, Sis.
You look too cute in your loc pocket. I will have to check on getting one. It looks comfortable.
Meikmeika - You are so right. That's why I love our boundaryless naptural community.
Maryee - why of course I'm now predispositioned to tell you the Ayana Loc Pocket. As for size, I'm thinking medium based on your length. A small might give you
a snug fit with just a wee bit of room for growth of your locks. So I guess it's a matter of how much a snug fit you want.
Aya - It's comfortable and so far I have no complaints. As long as it keeps its shape after being laundered, it continues to get my A+ vote.
Thanks T!! I'll look into it soon!
Maryee - you're very welcome.
Another great and informative posts! Thanks for sharing!
