Hooray hooray!! Today I got my Sisterlocks. It was a 12 hour session in one sitting. I cannot be more excited. No more chemical burns, no more hair falling out in droves. I’m on my way to great hair freedom. Finally, it feels really good to be a nappy head or should I say..tightly coiled.

Hey...how long was your hair? I have my first client this Saturday and I have no idea how long it will take me to lock her hair, it is about 5 inches long. Girl, be thinking of me, I am a little nervous, it is my first full head.

My hair was 2-3 inches and it took her 12 hours. Just pace yourself and you will be fine. I'm sure you will do a wonderful job.

I am getting my SL done next week. My consultant lef the hair uncoiled at the end, is that how yours is done

First, congratulations on an astounding journey. I wanted to ask your advice above everyone else's because I am getting ready to start SLs from a TWA also. I expect I will have exactly 1.5 inches of natural hair on my head when I begin. What size would you say your TWA was when you stareted? I'd say you looked incredible. I worry that I might look crazy when done. Also, I worry that my consultant will have trouble parting my hair. Please share your experience/opinion with me. (adesetages@gmail.com)
