Growing Into My Hairties

I couldn't be more excited that I'm able to sport the true pineapple look with my Brunsli Hairties. Today I wore the Amy for the first time since I bought it however many moons ago and decided to compare these photos against my Renee hairtie photos taken eight months ago. You can really see in the back how I can pull up the back locks so much higher and they are not constantly falling out of place.
When I wear my hair in a hairtie, curls or some other style and the implication of how come I don't wear it in these styles everyday really irks me. Of course
I shake it off but the nerve to imply my freestyle isn't good enough for daily wear does strike a bad nerve in me.
Oh yeah, I am 100% over my post-grooming freestyle jitters. It's on and poppin once again.

Mali - Thanks girl. I bet nobody even knows you're taking your hair down if you don't tell them. A beautiful camouflage indeed.

Cluizel - Thanks. Probably a bit of both, at least for me anyway.

Cheleskilove - Thanks a bunch. I'm trying to one step at a time. As you know, that can be a bit rocky at times.

Sunsail - Thanks. It sounds very interesting. I'll let you take the lead. You would think I would be a bit more tech savvy.

Jeri - Thanks a bunch. I do agree.

Mel - Why thank you much.

Naturalist1 - Thanks. You mean you're not wearing hairties
already? You started with a lot more length then I did or am
I misunderstanding you. I hope you didn't go and chop your hair on us.

Actually, I would but I have hair lose on the sides real bad. I've used a few hair growth products, but its not working. I wish there was something I can use. I might make that a new post on my blog to get suggestions.

Girl I am loving it! I so doing a pineapple near every day. I wore caruso curls last week and after a day or two were looking tired and I pulled them up in my brunslitie. I got soo many compliments. Be sure to try that too....oh and I had the ornament piece in the back instead of the front (sassy) LOL!

Naturalist1 - So sorry to hear this. I can relate a little since
my edges were damaged so bad from the relaxer. I've heard of folks taking biotin and such to help with hair growth.

A post might help with other suggestions. Hopefully you'll be sporting some hairties very soon.

Tra - Thanks so much girlie. I'll be sure to try your suggestions.

Aya - Thanks so much dear.

Nu-me - Thank you so much.

Brenda - Thanks dear. You know they say be careful what you wish for. Prior to locking, my growth length was to be able to sit on my locks. I'm very skeptical I will be able to keep that goal anymore. The extra challenges and maintenance will probably get the best of me.

Brunsli - Thanks dear. Now it seems like it happened overnight.
Of course I know better.

GN, I've always loved your full tresses. They are beautiful and the way you sport those B-Ties - you go gurl! Enjoy this stage of your loc growth, because more growth and the next stage will only present you with other loc challenges. But it's all good because we're natural and free!!!

Muslimahlocs - Thanks! You definitely must sample a hairtie
or two.

Blaq - Thanks so much. With my own journey and the likes of everyone
else's, your words are definitely clicking more than you know.
It most certainly is ALL GOOD!

Sis RJ - I'm glad you enjoyed my hair trip. I'm not surprised you were able to finish in record time.
a) I'm not a daily blogger and b)
I purposely try to keep my posts short and sweet.

GoldenChild - You are certainly welcome. Looking at your blog makes me feel like I've been reunited with one of my lock twins.

Hey Tanya I know its been a while how have you been? YOur locks and your hair ties look gorgeous! Now I have a problem I semed to have gotten several of hair ties stuck together do you have any suggestions on keeping them from getting tangled up?

Goodnapps said...

Sistalocd - Thanks so much! I'm doing good and can't complain. With the hairties, I've got a couple stuck together before. They can be a doozy to untangle. I think I recall Brunsli doing a post that she bought a tie hanger for them to keep them separated.I can't say I have any other suggestions to offer. I'm not much the neat freak.
